118 RTs in Central Jakarta will Receive APAR Assistance This Year

The Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat) will soon distribute hundreds of 3.5-kilogram portable fire extinguishers (APAR) to residents through RTs.

Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Asril Rizal said as many as 118 APARs were ready to be distributed to 118 RTs
"It is still under preparation stage and will be continued with procurement stage in August. Our target is able to distribute those APARs in the upcoming September," he said, Monday (7/24).

"It is ensured that they know how to use and maintain APAR," he explained.
He hoped that it could prevent fires in Central Jakarta because the community is already able to carry out early handling.
"This is one of our efforts to minimize fires, especially in densely populated areas," he stated.
